Save fuel and eliminate pollution

Back in 2013, I had an opportunity to acquire a license to resell and distribute a product in Lebanon. At first, I was hesitant as I just fled from Bahrain due to the 2011 events that took place. I landed in Lebanon, my home country. I had no experience about how to deal with the lebanese market or the lebanese people, and to be honest, I was a little worried because of all the negative feedbacks I heard from friends and relatives. They all thought that the lebanese market was a risky playground; and to succeed, one needs strong connections and political affiliations. There were lots of internal conflicts in the country, mainly political and religious, and the situation was unstable. The economy was directly affected by every political change that occured, and it seemed like everyone was fighting hard to survive, except for a minority which makes for the rich high class. Nonetheless, I was so excited to challenge myself and try to succeed.
After receiving all documentations regarding the product, I saw opportunity on the spot. This product is not like any other product I dealt with before. I come from an IT/Marketing/Events background. Suddenly, I found myself dealing with the fuel sector. The product is a fuel additive that reduces fuel consumption and pollution, and increases effectiveness and efficiency of the generator/vehicle.
This product sounds too good to be true. At first, I wasn’t quite sure that it does work. I have read several reports and studies sent to me from the owner of the company, but I had to test it myself just to make sure.
My mission was to introduce the product to potential benefitors and test it on their machines. That would be the best way for me to make sure that the product I am selling is effective, and I’d be targeting clients in the sector and increasing my connections in the country at the same time.
After my initial encounter with potential clients in the Lebanese market, I realized that there is a huge need for a product like mine. Fuel prices are extremely high in the country, and the consumption of fuel is very high. Unfortunately, the Lebanese government cannot provide electricity 24/7, so generators owned by people from the private sector are functionning day and night to generate electricity and cover the needs of citizens.
We got in contact with both the public and private sector, and began with the Pilots with many potential customers who were intrigued by our amazing product. After few months on each pilot, we witnessed the success of the product in which the lowest efficacy was 13% decrease on fuel consumption and the highest was 15.58%.
Our success was not only in reducing the fuel consumption, but in producing more power and reducing the pollution by up to 40%.
I was personally astonished by the results, and my hopes for the product to sell skyrocketed.
All pilots succeeded, and it was time for our clients to sign the deal and buy our product, but I had no idea that every new project needs an initial investment, and there was no available capital to invest in a new product like ours. Clients were already spending lots of money on fuel on a monthly basis, but there was no money to buy a fuel additive, even when the additive is reducing the costs of fuel consumption and covering its own price . The percentage on fuel consumption gave a breakeven scenario of 4% to 5% on any initial investment and an ROI that reached up to 100%.
Let me put it in an easy way for the public to understand.
For example:
If you spend 10,000 liters of fuel on monthly basis
Using our product will save you a minimum of 10% on fuel consumption
10,000 liters of Diesel fuel costs 10,000 Liters x 810 L.L = 8,100,000.00 L.L equivelent to 5,500.00 USD.
The product price for treating 10,000 liters is 0.03 cents per liter
Thus, 10,000 liters will cost you 300.00 USD
If the product saves you 10% then you saved 550.00 USD
Profit out of this consumption is when you deduct all expesnes as follow:
Equation: 550-300=250 USD
If the product saves you 15% then you saved 825.00 USD
Equation 825-300= 525 USD.

To sum it up, The product works and could make a huge turn over on every enterprise whether small or big. The investment needed for such a product is not even compared to the amount of money spent on fuel. The only missing link to make it happen is the right personnel to deal with. Unfortunately the owners of such enterprises are only receiving reports “we need to invest more...” but they are not getting the right reports that show how they will save money due to the unseen illegal operations in the corridors of their enterprises.
